What is Hospice Care?
Hospice is a compassionate, specialized healthcare directed by a team of professionals to provide services for comfort and relief to patients preparing for end-of-life stages. Hospice provides support by caring for the physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical needs of patients and families without performing life-saving procedures.
Who is part of the Hospice Team?
The hospice team is comprised of physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists, nursing assistants, chaplains, equipment suppliers, pharmacies, and volunteers.

Who qualifies for Hospice Care?
Anyone with a life-limiting illness including (but not limited to) cancer, heart, lung, neurological, kidney, liver, end-stage diabetes, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's diseases. Other indications qualifying a need for hospice may include uncontrolled weight loss, significant decline in function, or failure to thrive.
Where can I receive Hospice Care?
In the home, assisted living centers, retirement centers, or skilled nursing facilities.
Will my insurance cover Hospice services?
Medicare is the primary insurance provider for hospice. Our staff can assist you in determining your insurance coverage and payment options.
What if I am not quite ready for Hospice?
Our Palliative Care is a program designed for those that are hospice appropriate but still seeking treatment.
